Unto Nikolai and Serena, most gracious King and Queen of the Middle Kingdom, and the populace of the greatest Barony in the Knowne World do we send warmest greetings as the temperatures cool outside.

From Isibel:

While I have only been a part of this great Society for five years, I feel as though I have belonged here for much longer. Through each individual that I have met I have had the great pleasure and joy of listening to them share their experiences and knowledge with me, and this has helped me develop a deep love for the Society that we all enrich. I will never forget my first event. I knew only a few people when I arrived, however, when I left, it was with a heart full of friends and memories. While it is curiosity that brings people into our Society, it is this love and passion of which I speak that keeps them with us.

My time thus far with the Barony has been one of peace and a feeling of being safe and protected among friends and chosen family. I began my time with service as a scribe, crafting scrolls to help honor those individuals being recognized by the Crown, happy to give of my time, labor, and talents. In the past year I have begun pursuing a new art with a fantastic Laurel as my guide into lampwork glass. It has been my pleasure to donate many pieces to the Kingdom and to the Barony. I have also started building my kits for both heavy and light armored combat and am very much looking forward to joining my brothers and sisters in arms and continuing to improve my prowess in target archery.

While I have not yet had the opportunity to hold office, I have found many other ways to support my Barony and my Kingdom behind the scenes and I look forward to finding more ways to continue that support. I have also enjoyed teaching classes in both illumination and period glass beads.

From Aminah:

I have been privileged to spend many years getting to know the people of this Barony. Though real life has pulled me away from time to time, it has always been with relief and pleasure that I return to the Society. I have moved around the South Oaken area some, but I was a Gryphon first and it is Gryphon that my heart calls home.

Long have I joyously served as scribe, I have been Baronial and Regional Signet, pursuivant at large, waterbearer, and have always made it my goal to volunteer at least once at every event I attend. Our Society cannot function without volunteers, and I have always taken that to heart and tried to encourage it in others. I have recently rediscovered an enjoyment of target archery and am now working on improving my skill as well.

From both of us:

It is our deeply held desire to hold the Barony of Flaming Gryphon in fief for the Crown of the Middle Kingdom. It would be an honor and a privilege to help guide the Barony through whatever may come next while still maintaining, cherishing, and nurturing all that makes us family, all that makes this Barony great. It is our great hope to continue to walk the path that the Barons and Baronesses that came before us established. We believe that no job is small, and that no service should go unnoticed. We would like to help support and raise up those who would perform service, our artisans, and our warriors to the fullest of their potential. There has been some good work started to help recognize and encourage our youth, and we want to continue and expand upon that work, for without our youth, without the vitality of new blood, our Society cannot continue and that dream will flounder and die. We want to encourage growth among our family, both the young and the experienced, to further enrich our Society, our Barony, and each individual that inhabits them.

Flaming Gryphon has shown us love, acceptance, and grace, and it would be our deepest and most profound honor to serve as your next Baronesses.

In service to the Dream,

THL Aminah al yazici bint Ismail
