Unto Their Royal Majesties of the Middle Kingdom, Sascha and Kemma, Their Excellencies Flaming Gryphon Tim and Elizabeta, and to our beloved friends of Flaming Gryphon,

We, Avelyn Grene, OL and Einarr Ginnfastsson, OGC, OGM, wish to put ourselves forward for consideration to serve as your next Baroness and Baron of Flaming Gryphon.

The Barony is more than a plot of land or a handful of groups, but a community of friends and chosen family that we have known and loved and who have supported us since the beginning of our time in the Society. We wish to serve as Baroness and Baron as a way to give back to the community that has given so much to us and to encourage the skills and talents of the people within its borders - whether in the arts, on the field or range, or in acts of service and kindness. Together, our interests and abilities touch on many of the major aspects of the Society, which would allow us to better promote and engage members of the Barony in all areas.

Avelyn works tirelessly to support the arts and sciences within the Barony and the Kingdom. Through mentoring other artisans on their path and by volunteering her time and skills in culinary arts, costuming, scribal - and many other places they may be needed_ She has served the Kingdom the last seven Pennsics managing the Midrealm's Royal Encampment kitchen operations. In doing so, she has also promoted service by providing guidance to members of the Kingdom, and the youth of our Barony, who wish to learn more about the Royals and their staff at Pennsic.

Einarr participates on the martial fields in archery, heavy combat, and rapier. Each year he runs an archery range at either Push for Pennsic or Grand Tournament of the Dragon. On the heavy list he has served the Barony in the role of Warlord to train the levy. For the last three years he has served the Middle Kingdom as a South Oaken Executive Officer, and when the fencers of the Barony call for support, he is on the list and focuses on helping newer fencers where he can.

One area we would like to see progress in the Barony is building a space that allows everyone to feel welcome. We would like to see information made more accessible and to find ways to better assist people in finding their niche. The current popular activities within the Barony are not a perfect fit for every person but we believe there is a place for every person in our Barony if they have an interest in our Society's focus.

We know the role of Baronage carries both honor and responsibility Should we be chosen, we promise to listen, to celebrate, and to work tirelessly for the good of our people. Together, we want to uphold and continue the wonderful traditions that make Flaming Gryphon so special, while encouraging new voices and ideas that will engage more of the populace, ensuring the Barony's future, and giving new members the chance to experience what the Barony has given each of us.
