For those who seek to become the new Baronial Armored Champion, heed these words. This is an honorable and deeply meaningful station to stand Champion as. To bear the spear and wear the Ermine and Or tabard is to represent the Barony at all times, on and off the field. The selection of champion is not determined by how many wins you get during the rounds or having the best A&S project, but instead is determined by the Ladies and those who identify as such of the Barony in private conclave. Your collective actions and words throughout the day will be on display to the populace and it is upon those that the Champion may be chosen.
Prospective champions are to present themselves with their armor and weapons in good repair. This is a day of pageantry and love for combat.
All entrants should be prepared to speak to the populace on why they would like to be Armored Champion.
All entrants must present something for an Arts and Sciences entry. This is to show that the entrant is well rounded and has an appreciation for the Arts and Sciences. This can be anything done within the past year. Have fun, use your imagination!
Once all entrants have spoken and the populace has had time to walk by the A&S entries and speak to the prospective champions, the tournament portion of the day will begin.
Lady's dice roll: Ladies of the populace will put names on index cards at start of day and get drawn by the list mistress. Each lady will be given 2 dice, each with the same set of 6 different weapon styles. They can choose to roll only 1 die if they want matched styles, or roll both dice for the chance of different weapon styles. If rolling 2 dice, the lady MUST declare which fighter the dice roll is for in order to avoid confusion.
