What's the difference? Yelling at someone to "shut up" is just plain rude. It's rude if your a squire talking to a baron, John Q. Public talking to John Doe, or a baron talking to a squire. Problem is, sometimes it's so simple to type some words at a screen that we forget that there's a face belonging to a person with feelings on the other side of that screen. >>
Here's my 2 cents. I agree with Taffy. It's just plain rude to ANYBODY, regardless of rank, age, gender, whatever.
