[Ermine] Unicorn Badge?

Hey all you heraldic types out there!

In my perusal of Unicorn's heraldry files, I discovered what appears to be a submission for a shire badge. The blazon is: Fieldless, a unicorn's head couped Or, enflamed azure. The date on this is right around when I came into the shire, which would have been sometime in 1991, or maybe '92. Does anyone remember this? Did it actually pass? (I have no internet access currently to check the O & A.) We just found it kind of odd that we had never seen it before.

BTW, I also saw it referred to in quarterly reports as "enflamed gules" and "enflamed proper."

If anyone remembers, please clear up my confusion. Thanks!
